What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Technician position at South Bay Ceramics?

South Bay Ceramics has community ceramic studios in Mountain View. We are a small, hard-working team with high standards for quality, service, and work ethic. We offer pottery classes for all levels and memberships as well. We are growing and looking for a conscientious person to grow with us.
STUDIO TECHNICIAN:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studio Operations: Develop and support procedures regarding daily ceramics studio operations and maintenance, such as loading and unloading kilns, recycling clay using a pug mill, trimming and glazing pieces from one-time classes and events, and more
Membership Program: Mature our membership program by expanding our offerings and creating a safe and supportive environment
Administrative Support: Collaborate with the studio manager on communications in relation to studio operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience working in a ceramics studio, minimum (at least 3 months of experience loading kilns preferred)
Positive attitude when met with unexpected challenges
Able to carry up to 50 lbs
Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate the needs of others
Able to work in a collaborative team environment
Basic knowledge of GSuite Tools; Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
Can commit to a part-time schedule (starting at 18 hours a week, with availability on evenings and weekend shifts)
Pottery Instructors:
We're also hiring wheel-throwing and handbuilding instructors for 6-week classes, one-time classes and events! Feel free to reach out to us with an overview of your experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.50 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
