Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Account Manager/Field Sales Representative. The role involves managing and growing relationships with existing and prospective customers across the Mid Atlantic territory, with frequent customer meetings (virtual and in-person as needed). Responsibilities include identifying new sales opportunities, presenting manufacturers’ solutions, supporting customers through design-in and qualification processes, and coordinating with internal sales support and principals to ensure timely quotations, samples, and order fulfillment. The Account Manager/Field Sales Representative will track opportunities and forecasts in CRM tools, prepare account plans, and report on market trends and competitive activity. The role also includes attending industry events, providing feedback to principals on product and market requirements, and maintaining a high level of product and application knowledge relevant to SACS’ line card.
Qualifications
- Sales and account management skills, including territory management, relationship building, opportunity identification, and negotiation.
- Technical aptitude in electronic components and systems, with the ability to understand applications in markets such as automotive, medical devices, telecom, and industrial systems.
- Business development and marketing skills, including pipeline management, forecasting, and basic understanding of competitive positioning.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and remote collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, travel within the assigned territory as required, and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Previous experience in field sales, manufacturers’ representation, or distribution in the electronics or related industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
