Experienced Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an Experienced Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! The ideal candidate MUST be a team player with the ability to be a self starter with initiative to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with medical procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Provide medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance claims
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program
• Proficiency in performing vital signs, administering medications, and conducting basic laboratory tests
• Knowledge of medical coding and terminology
• Basic life support (BLS) certification
• Strong understanding of anatomy and medical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide exceptional patient service in a compassionate and professional manner
• Experience working in a clinical setting is preferred
