About the role:
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated Warehouse Lead to take ownership of our daily warehouse operations in Tracy. In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our facility—handling everything from forklift operation and inventory tracking to shipping, receiving, and keeping the building organized. If you thrive in a small-team environment where you run the floor independently, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift & Equipment: Safely operate forklifts (sit-down/stand-up) to load, unload, stack, and stage freight.
- Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming shipments, verify packing slips, schedule pickups, and process outgoing parcel (UPS/FedEx) and LTL/FTL freight shipments.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts, update stock levels in our inventory software, and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate stock counts.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the facility clean, organized, safe, and stocked with shipping supplies.
- Daily Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact for freight drivers, vendors, and internal management.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.
- Active OSHA Forklift Certification (or ability to recertify upon hire).
- Solid understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and freight logistics.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or WMS/ERP software).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
