Transactional Paralegal – Commercial Title & Survey
📍 Location: New York, NY (On-site)
💰 Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (Junior Level) | Up to $120,000 (Senior Level, based on experience)
What You'll Do:
- Review title and survey documents for commercial real estate transactions.
- Work closely with title companies to clear title issues before closing.
- Prepare ancillary closing documents, checklists, and binders.
- Form corporations and LLCs; draft operating agreements under attorney supervision.
- Obtain EINs and prepare SS-4 forms.
- Review UCC, litigation, bankruptcy, and lien searches.
- Prepare purchase agreements, contract assignments, and amendments.
- Organize closing files and ensure all documents are properly executed.
- Draft and file Deeds, ACRIS forms, UCC-1s, and UCC-3s.
- Prepare loan documents, escrow agreements, settlement statements, and satisfactions.
- Assist attorneys with offering plans for condos and co-ops, including amendments and yearly filings.
- Attend closings (in-person or escrow closings).
What You'll Bring:
- 3 years of experience as a Transactional Paralegal in real estate.
- Strong knowledge of commercial title and survey review.
- Experience with ACRIS, UCC filings, and escrow documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and clients.
