Position Title: Print & Digital Scanning Trainer

Pay: $20-$25 an hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and engaging Print & Digital Scanning Trainer to develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for employees within a high-volume print production and digital scanning environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring team members are proficient in production workflows, scanning operations, equipment usage, quality standards, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in document management, wide format or production print environments, and a passion for coaching and developing talent.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Design, develop, and facilitate training programs for new hires and existing employees.
  • Create standardized training materials, work instructions, SOPs, and job aids.
  • Conduct classroom, virtual, and hands-on equipment training sessions.
  • Evaluate employee skill levels and provide coaching to improve performance and productivity.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and employee development plans.

Print & Scanning Operations

  • Train employees on high-speed production scanners, including Kodak, Fujitsu, Canon, and similar equipment.
  • Instruct team members on print production workflows, document preparation, image quality standards, indexing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Train staff on large-format and digital print equipment, finishing processes, and production best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, data security protocols, and document handling procedures.

Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor training effectiveness through audits, observations, and performance metrics.
  • Promote quality standards, accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all employees understand and follow company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in developing corrective action plans and retraining programs when needed.

Operational Support

  • Partner with Operations, Production Managers, and Supervisors to identify training needs.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and implementation of new equipment or technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for print production and digital scanning operations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to production personnel.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 years of experience in print production, document scanning, records management, or digital imaging operations.
  • Experience operating and training others on high-speed scanners and production print equipment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and production workflows.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training documentation tools.

Preferred

  • Experience with Kodak, Canon, Fujitsu, Ricoh, Xerox, HP, or similar production equipment.
  • Experience developing training curricula and instructional materials.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Training Certification, or adult learning certifications are a plus.
  • Experience within document management, records conversion, digital transformation, or reprographics environments.
