What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery - General Physician position at SourceMD?
The Department of Surgery has an immediate practice opportunity for a general surgeon. We have opened a multi-specialty outpatient center in Northwest Phoenix, which includes ambulatory surgery. The primary focus of this position is to staff and lead the outpatient General Surgery clinical program at this site.
The Department hosts the first fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency Program in Phoenix, therefore, if interested, this position could become a member of our teaching faculty which involves the potential for supervision of residents, students and staff mentoring including participation in directing elective rotations, lectures and in-services to both resident staff and medical students. There is also opportunity to participate in research, faculty development, in addition to required participation in process improvement, peer review, and quality initiatives for the outpatient ambulatory center.
The preferred candidate must be board certified in General Surgery, have experience in advanced laparoscopy/minimally invasive surgery, and endoscopy.
