We are currently recruiting talent on behalfof our nonprofit network who have a position as a Custodian!This position is part of the AbilityOne Program. As a Custodian Team Member, you will ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service possible, playing a key role in ensuring that buildings and shared spaces are ready to be enjoyed by all.

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION

· SHIFT: Mon. – Fri. 9:00 pm – 5:30 am. LOCATION: Fort Drum Base

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Use high and low speed maintenance equipment assigned.

· Trash removal.

· Sweep/mop/dust/vacuum as assigned.

· Wet mop.

· Perform restroom disinfectant and cleaning as assigned.

· Wash windows.

· Monitor use of equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor.

· Practice “Safety First”.

WHAT YOU BRING

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Prior experience in janitorial work preferred.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.

· Must be capable of working on feet for extended periods of time.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must be able to read MSD sheets and various chemical labels and markings.

· Must be willing to learn proper use of cleaning agents and usage of various supplies.

· Must be willing to learn proper maintenance and safety features of both light and heavy custodial equipment.

· Must be able to work in the United States.

· Must be able to successfully pass all background clearances.

COMPENSATION

· This position pays $22.84 / hour.
