Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, a regional energy and utility company in Hicksville, NY.

Title: Procurement Associate
Location: Hicksville, (Long Island) NY
Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite (Mon-Fri, 40 hours)
Contract Duration: 12 months, with likely extension
Pay Rate: up to $43.35 per hour (w2)
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring services and/ormaterials consistent with the needs of our client's Procurement Operations Group.
- Procurement Analyst is responsible for accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development and contract administration while maintaining compliance with enterprise procurement policies and procedures.
- This position is an individual contributor role that initiates and coordinates procurement activities which include preparation of bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, negotiating terms & conditions, issue contracts, amendments, purchase orders and change orders as required.
- The Procurement Analyst independently negotiates and settles supplier claims and back-charges with guidance provided as needed.
- Additional responsibilities include fostering and implementing process improvement initiatives, client relationship management, communicating contractual commitments, and representing our client in the external marketplace.
- Procurement Analyst must have general knowledge of the sourcing process, prior experience in construction procurement, project management and contract law.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of Procurement experience
- 4-5 years of Supply Chain experience
- Microsoft Proficiency and Excel Spreadsheet experience required
- High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- High level written and verbal skills required
- Interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills and reading for comprehension
