Title: Senior Linux Engineer
Location: Bellevue, Washington
They could relocate if able to be on-site day 1. 1 and done interviews! Need to have enterprise experience (examples: Amazon device team, Qualcomm, Broadcomm, Mediatek, Intel, Cisco, etc.)
We are seeking an Embedded Linux Platform Engineer to support the migration and modernization of an existing product across Intel-based embedded systems. This role will focus on Linux platform porting, OS upgrades, and enabling cloud-based deployment and OTA update capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Port and migrate embedded Linux software to a new Intel-based hardware platform
• Complete ongoing Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04 to 22.04, including:
o Kernel, file system, and driver updates
o Bootloader configuration and upgrades
• Build and support production infrastructure, including:
o Software packaging and release generation
o Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities using AWS/Amazon tools (starting August)
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for platform deliverables
Top Skills
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux development
• Hands-on experience with:
o Linux kernel, device drivers, and bootloaders
o System bring-up, porting, or platform migration
• Experience with Ubuntu, Yocto, or similar Linux distributions
• Familiarity with Intel/x86 embedded systems
• Experience writing test plans and validating embedded systems
Nice to Have
• Experience with AWS, IoT, or edge device platforms
• Experience implementing or supporting OTA update systems
• Familiarity with FleetEdge or similar edge computing frameworks
Salary : $70 - $80
