Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our maintenance team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of various facilities, including residential, commercial, and manufacturing environments. Duties
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct residential painting projects to enhance property appearance and protect surfaces.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment or systems effectively.
- Operate tools such as welders and ohmmeters to diagnose issues and carry out repairs accurately.
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities including cleaning, inspections, and preventative upkeep to ensure safety standards are met.
- Supervise or coordinate with team members on maintenance projects, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, inspections, and inventory tracking.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or general handyman roles with a broad skill set.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment is a plus.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting with attention to detail.
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments is preferred.
