Mainframe Developer

Location: Peoria IL

Introduction:

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer to join our team in Peoria, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in COBOL, IBM IMS, JCL, Mainframe, and SAS. This individual will play a key role in developing and maintaining mainframe applications to support our business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, IBM IMS, JCL, and SAS
• Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements and develop solutions
• Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend enhancements

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in COBOL programming language
• Experience with IBM IMS database management system
• Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language)
• Ability to work with Mainframe systems
• Familiarity with SAS programming

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DB2 database management system
• Knowledge of scheduler tools
