Job Description
We are seeking a Disaster Recovery (DR) Business Process Analyst / AI-Enhanced DR Specialist to support and enhance enterprise disaster recovery and application resilience initiatives. This role will focus on business process mapping, evaluating existing DR strategies, and designing future-state, AI-enabled disaster recovery solutions. The consultant will work closely with application owners, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams as part of a multi-year transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with application owners and business stakeholders to document and map end-to-end disaster recovery and application management processes.
Develop detailed business process maps connecting critical systems, dependencies, and workflows.
Assess the current Disaster Recovery (DR) plan to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Design and recommend enhanced DR strategies, leveraging AI technologies for automation, optimization, and faster recovery.
Support a long-term organizational resilience and disaster recovery transformation initiative.
Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure DR alignment with business objectives.
Ensure DR strategies meet compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and technical teams.
Assist with DR testing, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in business process mapping within IT, Disaster Recovery, or Business Continuity environments.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning, execution, and testing.
Experience working directly with application owners and technical stakeholders.
Understanding of IT infrastructure, application dependencies, and recovery workflows.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage long-term initiatives.
Availability to work with US CST business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with AI/automation tools in IT operations or DR environments.
Background in IT risk management, cybersecurity, or business continuity planning.
Experience supporting large-scale IT transformation or resilience programs.
Additional Details
Day 1 onsite presence required in Peoria, IL.
Contract-to-hire opportunity after 6 months based on performance.
