DAS / RF Tower Construction Manager (Contractor / Temporary)

DAS RF Tower Construction Manager duties and responsibilitiesAside from the primary duty of overseeing a construction project, any contractor of Source 1 Solutions Inc. should always represent themselves in a professional manner. You must understand the mission and values of the company to ensure your outward daily representation matches the company’s vision and direction.A Construction Manager performs other duties and responsibilities to ensure desirable outcomes. Some of these duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Choosing tools, materials, and processes to use in the construction project and tracking the inventory of those itemsKeeping employee logs daily and monitoring the conduct of Construction Workers and ContractorsEnsuring that the construction project complies with all safety and building regulations.Conducting an in-depth analysis of the project to develop the budget and deliverablesIdentifying, managing, and mitigating risk factors to ensure the construction goes smoothlyKey duties and responsibilities of an RF tower construction manager include:Project PlanningReviewing project plans and specifications to understand the tower design, antenna placement, and required equipment.Identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies.Coordinating with engineers and surveyors to ensure accurate site layout and foundation placement.Budget Management:Monitoring expenditures throughout the construction process to identify cost overruns and take corrective action.Schedule Management:Developing a detailed construction schedule with milestones and deadlines.Monitoring project progress against the schedule and adjusting as needed.Communicating schedule updates to stakeholders.Site Supervision:Managing on-site construction crews, including subcontractors, ensuring they follow safety protocols and work procedures.Inspecting work quality and identifying any non-compliance issues.Resolving any conflicts or problems that arise during construction.Safety Management:Implementing and enforcing strict safety procedures on the construction site.Conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.Investigating safety incidents and taking corrective actions.Material Management:Ordering and managing the delivery of all construction materials, including tower components, antennas, cables, and grounding equipment.Maintaining inventory of materials and ensuring proper storage on site.Permitting and Compliance:Ensuring compliance with all relevant RF radiation regulations and building codes.Communication and Reporting:Maintaining open communication with the project owner, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.Providing regular progress reports on project status, including budget and schedule updates.Key skills needed for a DAS / RF tower construction manager:Strong understanding of RF tower construction techniques and standards.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.Ability to manage schedules effectively. Company DescriptionSource 1 Solutions is the trusted IT partner your organization needs.
