Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Cardiac Sonographer located in Houston, TX. The Cardiac Sonographer will perform diagnostic echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, and assist in non-invasive cardiology assessments. Additional responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and collaborating with medical professionals to interpret and document findings. A commitment to exceptional patient care and attention to detail is essential.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Cardiology and Non-invasive Cardiology practices
- Certification or eligibility for certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Experience or strong knowledge in Medicine and diagnostic imaging
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care
- Minimum of an associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- CPR certification and the ability to respond to medical emergencies
