What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Specialist position at SoundTube?
Conduct the quality control process and assist with various warehousing operations for new and existing products, including loudspeakers, amplifiers, electronic equipment, and much more. In this role, you’ll conduct lot inspections, complete documentation of the inspection process, ensuring high-quality produced components and assemblies. Additionally, this role engages in the activities of our warehouse and production facility, from order picking and putting away inventory to light assembly of finished goods. You’ll collaborate across departments and help drive success through activities that align with SoundTube’s commitment to excellence.
An ideal candidate should love the challenge of executing multiple projects at once and problem solving to adapt to unique tasks on the job. No experience required but previous quality control or warehouse experience is a benefit! Responsibilities and duties (including but not limited to):
- Quality control and assurance “Lot Inspections”
- Quality control process documentation (“Golden Samples”/ Reference Standards)
- Non-conformance reports
- Defect/failure product repair
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Occasional assembly of electronic and mechanical parts and assemblies
- Engage in warehousing duties as needed including order picking, processing returns, unloading shipping containers, conducting inventory cycle counts, wrapping and staging pallets, putting away inventory and unloading freight shipments
- Other potential miscellaneous duties include: production activities such as woodworking, loudspeaker assembly and packaging, and occasional customer-order deliveries using a company vehicle
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have excellent attention-to-detail
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across departments
- Ability to multi-task and jump between projects as needed, establishing priorities to meet deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Prior quality control or electronics/technology experience a plus
- Prior warehousing/inventory experience a plus
