What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at SoundTraxx?
SoundTraxx has an opening available for a bookkeeper/accountant with AP, AR, and GL experience. Must be comfortable with Windows-based software and possess the ability to remain focused in a busy environment. Must be organized, detail-oriented and be able to interact pleasantly with coworkers and customers. Ideal candidate has experience with Sage50 software or QuickBooks.
This could be a part-time position for the right person.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree in accounting (Associate Degree or higher), a minimum of 2-3 years of experience and possess a high level of drive, energy and integrity.
Core Responsibilities
The primary goal of this position is to perform and manage the day-to-day accounting tasks of the company. The Accounting Role performs most daily, weekly and quarterly financial and recordkeeping functions. This includes recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements and posting transactions.
Duties of this position will include:
- Receive checks
- Process Credit Card receipts
- Enter new payables into the accounting system
- Run Income Statement and Balance Sheet for the weekly accounting meeting
- Bring any unexpected payables to the attention of management
- Record credit card processing charges
- Chase late money, send appropriate accounts to collections.
- Run statements on the first of each month.
- Reconcile Bank and Credit Card accounts
- General Ledger
- Make bank deposits
- Dispense and track petty cash as needed
