THE BASICS
Compensation: Salary, paid monthly
Ranging $55-60K, with a clear scale to determine rate based on previous experience and graduate degrees

POSITION OVERVIEW
The core roles of the School Director are to
1) PROVIDE music therapy services to your clients
2) ACCOMPLISH school related tasks: evaluations, staff training, team compliance
3) GROW the company by working with the leadership team and developing school relationships.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Sound Starts is seeking a music therapist to fulfill a primary leadership role that will elevate the company to a new level of growth. This dynamic leader will maintain a caseload of music therapy clients and will also be responsible for school evaluations, attending ARDS and developing school relationships with administrators. This individual can expect to work closely with the CEO and additional leadership team members to create and execute plans to grow the company.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY LOOK LIKE
On a typical day you will fulfill music therapy services to your clients or conduct/write school evaluations. You will attend ARDs and spend time collaborating with the CEO regarding school district development. You will be on-site at our center to provide support to the team as needed. Weekly time will be dedicated to executing the company’s growth plan and consulting with the CEO and other directors.
HOURS, PAY RANGE, & BENEFITS
The available position is FULL time and salaried. Work days will most always include Saturday. Because this is an employed position (not contract), client cancellations are always paid! Sound Starts provides continuing education opportunities to team members and reimburses mileage. All positions at Sound Starts require driving, but the school director generallly drives more than other team members and travels around the metroplex (frequently in Collin & Grayson Counties but also to Denton, Tarrant and Dallas Counties on a PRN basis). The school director will still have a center home base and center caseload.
SIGN ON/REFERRAL BONUS
All new team members are eligible for a sign on bonus following hire, minimum of $1000. Additionally, if you are referred by a current Sound Starts’ team member, they are also eligible for a referral bonus! Additional details and eligibility guidelines are available upon request.
QUALIFICATIONS
Genuine desire and passion for working with children, teens, and young adult
MT-BC
2 years clinical experience, prefer experience at Sound Starts but will heavily consider the right outside applicant
The ideal candidate would stay in this role for at least 2-3 years
Driving does not bother you. The school director travels around the metroplex (frequently in Collin & Grayson Counties but also to Denton, Tarrant and Dallas Counties on a PRN basis)
Strong writing skills and familiarity with the SEMTAP process
