What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOW VOLTAGE INSTALLER position at Sound Solution Group?
Sound Solution Group is recruiting now for Low Voltage Installers for the Sacramento area. Possible travel to other states worksites such as Arizona may be needed.
Job Summary: The job of a Low Voltage Installer is an entry level low voltage role and we have an extensive training program for new team members. The Installer performs low voltage installations on job sites both in new and existing construction; They work closely with Lead Install Tech or Foreman until fully trained; they ensure completion of projects are in accordance with company and industry standards; the installer will learn trouble shooting skills and all aspects of acoustic installations for our various acoustic products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install sound masking system in commercial sites per installation manual and company standards.
- Read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings for existing and proposed low voltage systems 48 hours in advance.
- Perform tuning, service calls, and complete tuning reports.
- Provide training to the client on how to use the system.
- Email the daily project completion documents to Project Manager.
- Meet project budgets/markers per job and per your area.
- Clean up job site after installation.
- Communicate closely with your Foreman and the team on all install changes, issues, and report any site changes, setbacks, conflicting information to Project Manager.
- Maintains use and best performance of all vehicles, tools, and storage units.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to pass pre employment drug screen and background check as well as additional drug screening criteria throughout employment when a specific client jobsite requires it for access such military or any municipal, state or federal government contracts.
- Previous experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
- High integrity and honest.
- Team Player and hard worker.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be able to maintain a clean driving record and active driver’s license at all times
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in construction, cabling, low voltage areas
- Commercial construction experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel.
- Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity.
- The job is performed under some temperature variations and conditions with exposure to the risk of injury and/or illness.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
