Local Team Collaboration
- We take pride in our well-established team at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center of 4 physicians, 2 APP’s, with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator.
- Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
- Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center is part of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico consisting of nine hospitals. Founded in 2018, Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center has 30 private inpatient beds and 20 ER beds.
- Board-certified/eligible in internal medicine only.
- We provide in-house licensing and credentialing support.
- A minimum of 1-year Medical Director experience or Associate Medical Director experience.
- Must have experience leading a committee.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotating schedule.
- You will be working a split of days and nights.
- 12-hour shift hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM days and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM nights.
- Hospitalists will rotate through days and nights. 1 MD and 1 APP on during the day, and 1 MD at night.
- We are setting up a SIM lab for procedure training. This helps with rare procedure requirements, especially the chest tube. Central line and intubations are higher priorities. Arterial line and thoracentesis are waived.
- Average encounters per doctor are 10-14 during the day and at night 2 admits on average.
- Open ICU with 6 beds.
- Central lines, intubations, vent management, paracentesis, and thoracentesis are required.
- Training available for arterial lines and small-bore chest tubes.
- We are part of the rapid response and code team.
- Participation in sepsis and stroke committees.
- Regular program manager, team, leadership, ER, and other meetings.
- Additional administrative duties.

- Day shift rate of $1829 and night shift rate of $2109.
- Chief Stipend of $60,000/yr (paid monthly).
- Eligible for RVU and quality bonuses.
- Full Benefits including CME allowance.
- Relocation bonus.
