Role Description
Position: Journeyman Electrician (Commercial Construction)
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation:
- $55/hour for local (in-town) work
- Prevailing Wage rates for Davis-Bacon projects
- Increased rates for out-of-town work based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate is professional, self-driven, and looking for long-term employment with opportunities for leadership and growth.
This position involves performing a wide range of electrical tasks, including installing conduit and electrical equipment, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with current NEC codes. Candidates may also be assigned to mentor, coach, or supervise electrical apprentices as needed.
You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial electrical construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction and electrical drawings
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as required
- Comfortable working at heights using lifts and ladders
- Valid Alaska Journeyman’s License (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
