Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and ingredients.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards and prevent contamination.
- Develop new beverage recipes and experiment with mixology techniques to enhance our drink menu offerings.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of POS systems
- Proven experience in cocktail mixing, beverage recipe development, and spirits knowledge.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse customer needs.
- Experience working in fine dining environments or hospitality industry settings that demand high standards of service.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Familiarity with food handling, food safety protocols, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, brewing processes, craft beer trends, and beverage presentation techniques is highly desirable.
