Duties
- Deliver expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services using advanced techniques such as balayage, ombré, and tape-in extensions.
- Perform precision haircuts for men and women, including straight razor shaves and detailed hair threading.
- Apply makeup and eyelash extensions to enhance client beauty and confidence.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic salon environment.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, process payments, and manage client records efficiently.
- Provide personalized consultations on hair care, color theory, and styling options tailored to each client’s needs.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, nail care products, and styling tools to boost sales while educating clients on their benefits.
- Mentor junior stylists by sharing techniques in hair styling, retail sales strategies, and customer service excellence.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
- Support store management with inventory control, retail math calculations, and promotional activities to maximize revenue.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license with additional barbering certification preferred.
- Proven experience in hair extensions application, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care services.
- Strong knowledge of color theory and advanced haircutting techniques including straight razor work.
- Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and point-of-sale transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively.
- Demonstrated ability in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math calculations to meet sales goals.
- Commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols within a professional salon setting.
