Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, and hair threading with precision and creativity.
- Deliver expert barbering services such as straight razor shaves, beard trims, and classic cuts.
- Apply makeup and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ natural beauty and meet their individual preferences.
- Educate clients on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail options to boost sales through upselling techniques.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations to ensure client safety.
- Use salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, retail math, and customer service skills.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
Requirements
- Valid state cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in both fields.
- Expertise in hair extensions, color application, and advanced styling techniques.
- Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and safety protocols in a salon environment.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform nail care services when needed and provide comprehensive beauty consultations.
- Experience in retail sales with a focus on product knowledge related to hair care, makeup, and nail products.
