We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial Hygienist with experience in medical environment to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and controlling environmental and occupational health hazards in the workplace. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace assessments to identify potential health hazards (chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic).
- Develop and implement industrial hygiene programs and exposure control plans.
- Perform air, noise, and other environmental monitoring and sampling.
- Analyze data and prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with safety, engineering, and operations teams to mitigate risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification such as CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is highly desirable.
- 10 years of experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in industrial hygiene sampling equipment and software.
- May require travel to various job sites or facilities.
- Exposure to hazardous materials and environments may occur.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain settings.
