Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Fire Alarm Technician at Soteria Fire Safety LLC in Lenexa, KS. The role involves performing maintenance, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years experience in fire alarm system testing and service work is absolutely required
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA codes, and local regulations
- Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical manuals
- Ability and knowledge of fire extinguisher servicing and maintenance. This position will also involve fire extinguisher inspections in commercial properties, including apartment buildings and large warehouses.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Certification in fire alarm systems (e.g., NICET) is a plus
