About the Role

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Decision Support Analyst to support enterprise-wide financial, clinical, operational, and business intelligence reporting initiatives.

This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing decision support systems, ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms, and delivering analytical insights that support executive decision-making, operational improvement, and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with experience in healthcare data, financial reporting, business intelligence, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Decision Support & Business Intelligence

• Maintain, support, and enhance enterprise decision support and business intelligence systems
• Manage daily and monthly data extractions from source systems into reporting and analytics platforms
• Ensure effective system integration and validate data integrity through audits and reconciliation processes
• Support executive leadership with analytical reporting and ad hoc business insights

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop financial, operational, clinical, and costing reports to support regional and corporate decision-making
• Build and maintain reporting frameworks for cost center analysis and management-level financial reporting
• Assist hospital and operational teams with custom data requests and ad hoc report development
• Analyze trends and performance data to support operational improvement and business development initiatives

Financial & Costing Analysis

• Develop and maintain cost standards for products and services
• Monitor costing accuracy and partner with department leaders to resolve variances
• Support overhead allocation methodologies and indirect cost modeling
• Assist with budgeting processes and cost center financial planning

Data Integrity & Process Improvement

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across enterprise systems
• Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes, policies, and data governance standards
• Support integration of reimbursement and payment data into decision support systems
• Collaborate with Information Services and technical teams to maintain system integrity and optimize reporting workflows

Stakeholder Support & Training

• Partner with operational and administrative leaders to understand reporting and analytical needs
• Provide regional application support, user guidance, and training when required
• Support adoption of enterprise reporting standards and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Experience in decision support, healthcare analytics, financial analysis, business intelligence, or related analytical functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large datasets, reporting systems, and financial/clinical data
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience with business intelligence and decision support platforms
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, costing methodologies, and operational analytics
• SQL, reporting tools, or data warehouse experience preferred
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments
