Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (No weekends, all federal holidays off)

- About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring Welding Instructor to train, mentor, and empower students ages 16–24 at the Pine Knot Job Corps Center. This is a full-time, year-round role teaching real-world welding skills that lead to employment and industry certifications.
You will run a fully equipped welding shop and classroom—helping students build confidence, discipline, and employable skills.
What You'll Do
- Teach hands-on welding techniques: ARC, MIG, TIG (aluminum & stainless), Flux Core
- Deliver engaging instruction in safety, blueprint reading, measurements, and proper tool use
- Guide students through AWS-aligned Training Achievement Records (TARs)
- Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant welding shop
- Mentor and motivate at-risk youth toward independence and career success
- Support career readiness and job placement efforts
Track student attendance, progress, and skills mastery

Required Certifications & Experience
To be considered, candidates must have:
- American Welding Society (AWS) Certification
- Certification and hands-on experience in:
- Arc Welding
- Flux Core Welding
- Aluminum TIG
- Stainless Steel TIG
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Patience, leadership, and a genuine desire to help young people grow
Ability to model professionalism, safety, and positive work habits
Experience teaching or training is preferred—but a great attitude and strong welding skills matter most.
