We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Facilitator specializing in Social Skills development to join our team. · Setting up area, ensuring proper supplies/materials are present, letting participants into the program, etc.
· Teach lessons according to the curriculum.
· Conduct pre and post assessments for all participants.
· Upon completion of the program, clean up space, put away materials in proper order, wipe down table and/or chairs, etc.
· Maintain open communication with all team members on a regular basis and report problems or issues to your supervisor in a timely manner.
· Manage attendance records and participant list.
· Plan community outings to practice skills.
· Order supplies in accordance with Purchasing Policy.
· Create and maintain professional relationships with program participants, families, staff, interns, volunteers, and community partners.
· Perform tasks assigned by supervisor.
· Positively contribute to the overall success of each program.
· Work closely with the program coordinators for implementation of program goals and objectives.
· Report any incidents or complaints to supervisor immediately.
· Demonstrate all SOS Core values.
· Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive situations and documentation.
: Program Facilitator is expected to follow all rules and guidelines as presented to the employee during employee orientation. The Program Manager will annually monitor performance and duties above and deliver a performance review at least annually. It is the responsibility of the Facilitator to maintain open communication with their supervisor on a regular basis. It is the responsibility of the Program Facilitator to notify program coordinator/leader of absences, late arrivals, vacations, etc.
: Program Facilitator will have at least a high school diploma/equivalent or related experience in the field of ASD/Intellectual Disabilities Services. A general understanding of autism spectrum disorder/intellectual disabilities is important to understanding the goals and mission of the organization. A love of working with children who have ASD/Intellectual Disabilities is essential to the success of the individual in this position. Working knowledge and experience in education or psychology is helpful. Multitasking and attention to details are necessary. Patience and excellent communication, both written and orally, are essential.
