As we expand operations, we’re looking for a Vice President of Manufacturing to lead production strategy, elevate our operations, and ensure that every Sort-Rite product meets our uncompromising standards of quality and efficiency.
About the Role
The VP of Manufacturing will oversee all manufacturing operations—from production planning and quality control to process optimization and workforce management. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial manufacturing environment.
You’ll work closely with executive leadership to scale our output, streamline workflow, and implement systems that improve cost efficiency and product consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of manufacturing, including production, quality, safety, logistics, and maintenance.
- Build and manage production schedules to meet delivery timelines and cost goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies for continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
- Oversee quality control and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Manage and mentor production supervisors and engineering staff.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to support new product development.
- Establish key performance metrics (KPIs) for efficiency, throughput, and safety.
- Drive culture focused on accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Report directly to the CEO and participate in long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years at a senior management or plant operations level.
- Proven success managing industrial or equipment manufacturing operations.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and production scaling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building and managing KPIs and production systems.
- Hands-on approach — willing to be present on the floor and lead by example.

Pay: $90,041.98 - $108,437.66 per year
