Duties
- Monitor event premises using CCTV systems and perform regular patrols to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Control access points by performing background checks and verifying credentials to ensure authorized entry
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies by implementing established protocols
- Manage crowd control and conflict de-escalation techniques to maintain order and prevent disturbances
- Conduct thorough incident report writing detailing security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy occurrences
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment setup or emergency situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents to coordinate effective responses
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on physical security and surveillance
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, and firearm handling preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV operation, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response procedures
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings when required
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks throughout long shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor in high-pressure environments
