What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Tech position at SOROC PRODUCTS?
Since 1975, Soroc Products in Burton has been servicing Flint, Michigan and surrounding cities with high quality thermoform / vacuum formed custom packaging dunnage. In 2006, Soroc Products was purchased by Richfield Industries, a major returnable shipping container (rack) manufacturer.
We are looking for an experienced full-time Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift. You will train on 1st shift and then move to 2nd.
The pay range starts at $28.00/hour for qualified candidates. Willing to pay more for more well-qualified, experienced candidates.
We do not require a high school diploma or GED.
SCHEDULE:
After your training on 1st shift is complete, the current 2nd shift Maintenance hours are 1:30pm - 10pm Monday - Friday with the possibility of overtime.
DUTIES:
The ideal candidate will be mature and have the ability to maintain their composure under pressure. The right candidate will also possess strong problem-solving skills, have uncommon common sense.
This position requires at least 3 years’ Manufacturing Maintenance Experience. We will be looking for this experience on your resume. If you don’t show MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE experience on your resume, you will not be considered.
We are willing to train the right person who already has at least 3 years’ Manufacturing Maintenance experience and is able to do at least 3 of the following 5 things: welding, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and other manufacturing-related maintenance experience.
Maintenance is responsible for all troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and general facility upkeep.
Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance
Must have own tools.
Should be able to work independently and work well with others.
Use good judgement, work with sense of urgency, when needed, for example when a machine is down.
Physical Requirements: crawl in and around machinery, reach, lift, pull, push, bend, use of ladder up and down equipment. Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 40 lbs.
Good communication skills verbal and written.
Collaborate with production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
EXPERIENCE
3 Years Minimum Manufacturing Maintenance Experience.
Plastics Injection Molding Maintenance Experience is a Plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
