About the Role:
We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy individuals to join our team as a Research Operations Associate. In this role, you will collect training data to support cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, wearables, AR/VR, smartphone development, computational photography, and biometrics.
Data collection may include images, videos, audio, spatial data, and performance metrics. You will work with both off-the-shelf equipment (DSLRs, smartphones, etc.) and client-provided devices, including engineering prototypes. Some collections may be straightforward, while others may involve technically challenging scenarios with prototype hardware and software.
Please note: This is a project-based role. Projects last from several weeks to multiple months. Additional opportunities would arise as additional projects spin up. Some projects may have non-standard hours. Training will be provided to ensure you have the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data collection tasks using various tools, including cameras, sensors, and client devices.
- Follow detailed instructions to ensure accurate and consistent data capture.
- Adapt to varying technical challenges, especially when working with prototype hardware and software.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client data and proprietary technologies.
- Provide feedback on data collection processes and assist in troubleshooting any issues.
- Ensure a positive and professional experience for participants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, or relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and operate new hardware and software tools.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing project needs and schedules.
- Comfortable with hands-on work involving devices, sensors, and other equipment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Technical curiosity and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with production, photography, videography, sensor-based, or UX data collection.
- Familiarity with AR/VR devices, wearables, or biometric systems.
- Previous work involving prototypes or engineering environments.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
