Warehouse Coordinator

The Warehouse Coordinator for BEC serves customers by providing product and service information. He or she communicates with the customer by phone, email or via face-to-face interaction. He or she must also be able to process orders, take cash, credit card payments and maintain accurate inventory. The Warehouse Coordinator will also address building maintenance issues and support team members internally.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Accurately process, stage and load customer orders
• Sort and place materials or items on the racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory by receiving and verifying stock orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received and distributed.
• Complete scheduled inventory cycle counts.
• Provide and log daily safety, warehouse, and forklift inspections.
• Utilize a forklift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and address any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Provide 7-star service to all customers and colleagues.
• Support BEC manager and follow up on open building maintenance projects and maintain accurate records.
• Create a project ticket in teams for any repair items that need to be addressed. BEC manager will assign to 3rd party or project may be completed in house.
• Assist the Marketing team with the setup and dismantle of events held at the BEC.
• Keep samples organized and advise when they need to be reordered.
• Keep a checklist of items that need replenished (e.g. Propane for Forklifts, or office supplies).
• Build strong and trusting relationships with the sales team and customers to continue driving business through the BEC facility.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma required
• 5 years’ experience in distribution is a plus
• Must be bi-lingual (English / Spanish)
• Ability to self-manage / self-starter
• Possess basic computer knowledge. Email, MS Office a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment
• Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively as an independent with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality, and doing so within the context of working in and for a larger national organization

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

• Maintain the SOPREMA BEC facility operationally functioning between the hours of 7am-4pm Monday through Friday. This may change based on customer demands.
• Warehouse Coordinators work in a distribution environment. They will be exposed to both an office environment as well as a warehouse setting.
• Some heavy lifting, bending, and daily forklift use will be required.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Truck unloading and customer dispatch.
• Warehouse Coordinators may be asked to report between the SOPREMA South Florida facilities in Doral, Pompano Beach, and Hallandale based on business needs.

Reports to the BEC Manager.
