Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading complex data analysis initiatives, managing and maintaining robust BI environments, and delivering strategic insights to support the company’s business objectives. This position takes full ownership of key reporting systems, collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders, and drives data integrity, visualization, and automation initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst will lead projects in designing and refining pricing logic, developing custom SQL solutions, and enabling data-driven decision-making across departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis
2. Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, and reporting systems.
3. Assist Senior Sales Operations Analyst to design, refine, and maintain pricing logic and price lists across multiple business units.
4. Assist Sales Operations in achieving directional goals across the organization.
5. Data Analysis
6. Collaboratively manage and maintain data pipelines, data integrity, and visualizations within the BI environment.
7. Manage the Tableau reporting infrastructure, with full ownership of dashboards and analytics for all US market segments, and provide oversight for international divisions.
8. Develop custom SQL queries to support complex, non-standard reporting requests, enabling deeper insights and data-driven decision making.
9. Results Reporting
10. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure reporting needs are met for both recurring dashboards and ad hoc analysis.
11. Provide executive-level insights through automated reporting, advanced visualizations, and in-depth variance analysis.
12. Strategic Support
13. Serve as a subject matter expert for data strategy, pricing logic, and BI best practices.
14. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Tableau and Excel dashboards.
15. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Sales Operations Analyst.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Corporate Finance, or Accounting (Master’s preferred).
2. 5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with a track record of leading cross-functional analytics projects.
3. High Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
4. Familiarity with data query/data management tools is helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
5. Tableau Software, preferred (or similar data visualization software, PowerBI, Qilk, Zoho Analytics, Looker, etc.)
6. Experience writing queries and reports (preferred)
7. Coding experience preferred: Python, R, C , VBA, SQL, etc.
8. Proven ability to communicate complex analyses to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.
9. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

1. The Senior Data Analyst works regular hours during the week.
2. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
3. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
4. Travel may be required for this position.
