We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to develop comprehensive pain management plans.
- Conduct IV insertion procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatment plans as necessary in critical care settings.
- Engage in compounding medications tailored to individual patient needs, following established guidelines.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology to ensure effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
- Educate patients about their medications, potential side effects, and proper administration techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in clinical pharmacy settings preferred; familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of pain management strategies and critical care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
