Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our solo general practitioner dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Experience and x-ray certification required.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic technique compliance
- Take digital X-rays
- Record vital signs and medical history, familiarity with Dentrix dental software
- Maintain infection control standards by following established protocols for sterilization of dental instruments and maintaining equipment
- Ensure the dental office remains clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in Dentrix
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- X-ray certification required and experience in performing digital X-ray procedures
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
- Certification in CPR preferred
