Quality Specialist – 1st Shift
Non-Exempt $19.50 to $21.50
SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider supplying OEM’s with printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies, is looking for a Quality Specialist to assist the Quality department and ensure quality assurance programs.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for following processes and procedures to maintain, develop, implement, and prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate completion of customer return material authorization (RMA) assembly handling through customer interaction and internal database.
- Maintain and process change requests to SoPark’s document control system by ensuring that all controlled documentation is correct, orderly, and properly documented.
- Maintain the equipment database by ensuring all controlled equipment is properly maintained and calibrated at all times.
- Understands the importance of quality manufacturing standards and International Standards of Operations (ISO).
- Analyze, evaluate, and present quality information to Management or groups as needed.
- Practice continuous improvement to improve systems, processes, and customer satisfaction.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Required:
Three years’ experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience in the quality assurance and/or electronics field.
Skills required:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel, and Queries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Organizational skills
Physical requirements/Essential Functions:
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods
- Have good hand dexterity and the ability to reach with hands/arms.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, talk, and hear.
- Must be able to lift/move up to ten pounds.
- Noise level in the workplace environment is usually low to moderate.
