Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Non-Exempt $17.00 -$17.50 plus differential
SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider supplying OEM’s with printed circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies, is looking for a Machine Operator.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for following processes and procedures to operate automated machinery to populate circuit boards, assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems to ensure maximum productivity and quality while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company by performing the following duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates pick and place machines, screen printers, and ovens.
- Programs pick and place machines.
- Sets up and tears down automated machinery.
- Performs all essential duties and responsibilities of an electronic assembler.
- Performs cleaning/maintenance on pick and place machines as well as other related equipment according to PM schedules.
- Logs completed cleaning/maintenance information for each machine as required.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
Skills Desired but not required:
- Experience with circuit boards
- Soldering experience
- Experience with handling and placing electronic components
Physical requirements/Essential Functions:
- Regularly required to sit/stand/walk for extended periods
- Have good hand dexterity and the ability to reach with hands/arms
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
