Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), schematics, and blueprint reading. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance at all times. The successful applicant will possess proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and be capable of working on low and high voltage systems.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in industrial and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations accurately.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools including multimeters and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of Title 24 California Law requirements
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and safety regulations.
- Perform renovations on existing electrical systems during construction or remodeling projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist in framing carpentry or maintenance person tasks as needed during project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics, blueprints, and construction site procedures.
- Hands-on experience working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working on renovation projects within construction environments.
- Strong understanding of schematic reading and electrical system troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction or industrial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills along with a commitment to safety compliance at all times.
