Sony Corporation of America seeks a Principal Developer SOAR Automation in Reston, VA to design, implement, and optimize proprietary software platforms to automate workflows across security and IT functions. Requires a Master’s degree in Engineering (Any) or related field or equivalent and three (3) years of experience driving automation and development strategy and defining and providing input for product roadmaps; managing the development of security and data automated solutions; designing and developing advanced playbooks and software automations to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows across security and IT functions; automating incident response workflows, including threat detection, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery processes; developing Python-based solutions for automation-related tasks, including automating data parsing, log analysis, enrichment of threat intelligence, creation of dynamic playbook scripts, and building integration modules for seamless communication between disparate security tools; utilizing Web-services (API and REST), GIT, and Security automation (SOAR) to implement automated workflows and optimize incident management; managing security operations across Windows, MacOS and Linux to conduct investigations, deploy scripts, and perform forensic analysis; performing data enrichment and correlation using internal and external threat intelligence sources to enhance incident detection and prioritization; and performing incident analysis and post-mortem reviews to improve detection accuracy and minimize false positives.
