Duties and responsibilities
- Manage/grow relationships with current the Sonwil Logistics carrier base.
- Rapid “on the fly” rate negotiations with carriers.
- Target prospective new carriers through outbound “warm” calling to build book of business.
- Utilize investigative sales techniques to further develop carrier capacity.
- Manage full truckload (FTL) and less than truckload (LTL) shipments.
- Assign, dispatch, and track all shipments with carriers.
- Assist in support and execution of quoting opportunities for first time and existing customers.
- Proactively address problems and implement effective, timely solutions.
- Serve as the liaison between an individual/company that needs shipping services and an authorized motor carrier.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must like to work in a fast paced and highly competitive sales market.
- Hungry for success and always looking for self-improvement.
- High level multi-tasking ability with strong organization skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Enthusiastic and high energy.
- "People person," friendly, outgoing, and confidence is a must.
- Willingness to work in a team environment, but able to conduct themselves and their work independently, driven to achieve individual results without being micro-managed.
