We are hiring a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dental services in a correctional healthcare environment. This role focuses on patient preparation, chairside assistance, infection control, and quality dental care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and seat patients
- Assist the dentist with exams, restorations, and procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments/equipment
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Update dental charts and maintain accurate records
- Support patient education on oral hygiene and after-care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical workspace
Requirements
- Active California RDA License
- BLS (AHA) preferred
- 1 year of RDA experience (recent)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, radiography, and infection control
- Strong communication and patient care skills
