Phlebotomist – Madera Area (Chowchilla Facility) | Full-Time

We’re hiring an experienced Phlebotomist to support clinical laboratory services for a correctional facility located in Chowchilla, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and finger sticks using standard equipment
- Explain procedures clearly and ensure patient comfort
- Collect, label, centrifuge, and store specimens appropriately
- Process non-blood specimens and enter test orders
- Handle biohazard materials safely and follow infection control
- Assist with difficult blood draws when needed
- Maintain supply inventory and a clean, organized work environment
- Ensure proper patient identification and accurate documentation
Requirements
- Active California Phlebotomy Certification
- BLS (AHA preferred)
- Strong venipuncture skills and specimen handling knowledge
- Ability to work in a secure correctional setting
- Recent experience in hospital, clinic, or correctional environment preferred
