Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within various healthcare settings. What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and needs.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment to support patients in critical care settings.
- Perform airway management procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
Basic qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to respiratory care.
- Proficient in basic life support techniques and emergency medicine practices.
- Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or PICU is highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in hospital medicine or emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with ventilator management and pulmonary rehabilitation techniques.
- Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus.
- Knowledge of pediatrics and geriatrics to cater to diverse patient populations.
