Quality Control Technician – Night Shift
Position Summary
Sonstegard Foods of Arkansas is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join the quality department. This role is responsible for ensuring food safety of products by observing and addressing direct food/contact surface contamination and employee practices that may put product at risk. The technician supports daily, weekly, monthly, and annual quality testing, inspections, and procedures.

Position Summary
Sonstegard Foods of Arkansas is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join the quality department. This role is responsible for ensuring food safety of products by observing and addressing direct food/contact surface contamination and employee practices that may put product at risk. The technician supports daily, weekly, monthly, and annual quality testing, inspections, and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Review, complete, and support required documentation and procedures.
- Perform daily tasks including certificates of analysis, calibration, document collection, cleaning verification, titrations, and physical product testing.
- Conduct facility and glass inspections.
- Collect finished product samples and environmental swabs.
- Support employee training needs and maintain training documentation.
- Review, update, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collect, review, and analyze data to identify and correct issues.
- 2nd shift BOLs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the quality team.
- Promote food safety and comply with USDA and company regulations.
- Work weekend/holiday rotation
- Proven team player
- Detail-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with documentation, procedures, and records.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels and departments.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with strong multitasking ability
- Quality experience preferred but not required.
- Use computer, speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Ability to lift 30–50 pounds occasionally.
- Approximately 50% office work and 50% plant floor work.
