- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair truck and trailer refrigeration units, including APUs.
- Perform diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computer systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance, component replacement, and general servicing of refrigeration systems.
- Review shop orders and perform repairs including Freon leak detection, part replacement, soldering, and welding.
- Install new refrigeration units on trailers, trucks, and vans as needed.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to perform mobile diagnostics or repairs.
- Operate vehicles safely and within all applicable traffic and environmental regulations.
- Follow all company and equipment safety procedures while performing duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in alignment with dealership objectives.
- 3-5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing transport refrigeration units (Thermo King, Carrier, etc.)
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, scanners, and basic computer systems.
- Skilled in soldering, welding, and refrigerant leak detection and repair.
- EPA 608/609 refrigerant certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel to customer sites when required.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality of work in a fast-paced environment.
