What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at SONSHINE PRESCHOOL?
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage classroom behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Assist lead teacher as needed to keep classroom running smoothly
Requirements:
12 units in Early Childhood Education or 6 completed units and currently working towards another 6 units
We are a private Christian Preschool searching for someone to add to our team.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
