Full Time Lead Teacher
Looking to Hire for position starting Mid- Late August
Successful candidates will have a proven work ethic, an enthusiasm for working with children, a friendly disposition, a high school diploma and at least one year experience working with children ages infants to preschool.
Full time position in our infant, toddler classroom. Lead teacher will be responsible for supervising children, creating lesson plans and maintaining an organized schedule for children. Must be energetic, flexible and enjoy engaging children throughout the day. The ability to supervise multiple children, communicate information, keep a clean and tidy environment and the ability to lift 30lbs or more repeatedly throughout the day. Changing diapers, feeding children bottles and foods is a must. We engage children in play, activities, crafts and many other areas helping them to learn and grow!
We are looking for flexible people who love children of all ages and have experience working in child care. Candidates who are flexible, and consistent are encouraged to apply.
Attendance at staff meetings, school programs that occur a few times throughout the year and professional conferences is also required.
The last week in July and first week in September we do not have vacation time because of transitioning children before and after the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a childcare setting
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
- Create and maintain a daily schedule for children that includes educational, recreational, and rest periods
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children
Skills:
- Classroom management skills to effectively handle a group of children
- Knowledge of childcare practices and principles of childhood development
- Ability to provide age-appropriate educational activities
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and other staff members
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Understanding of early childhood education principles and techniques
- Ability to educate and engage children in a fun and interactive manner
- Experience working in a daycare or similar childcare setting is preferred

This position is daily (Monday through Friday) typically from 8:30-5:00. We are closed on the weekends and major holidays.
CERTIFICATION: MUST HAVE A CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CREDENTIAL (CDA) or a 2/4 year degree in Early Childhood Education.
