Position Summary:
As our Car Wash Manager, your primary role is to oversee daily operations of a touchless/automatic car wash facility, ensuring excellent customer service and customer experience on site, smooth equipment performance, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and meeting operational and financial goals. You’ll be working outdoors, interacting with customers at the car wash IBA entrance, and helping them choose the membership plan that fits their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the touchless/automatic car wash system.
- Monitor the wash process to ensure proper chemical application, water pressure, and wash quality.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures, including equipment checks, site cleanliness and onsite functionality of equipment room, bays and vacs.
- Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on pumps, sensors, blowers, water systems, and control panels.
- Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with technicians.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, chemical usage,system performance and weekly sales.
- Ensure chemicals are properly filled, stored, handled & ordered.
- Greet customers, assist with wash selections, and resolve complaints or service issues.
- Educate customers on available wash packages, memberships, and promotions.
- Handle refunds or adjustments when necessary.
- Train, schedule, and supervise attendants or maintenance staff.
- Monitor employee performance and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Track chemical levels, wash supplies, and order inventory as needed.
- Reconcile daily sales, deposits, and reports.
- Monitor wash performance metrics and contribute to revenue-growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in car wash operations or general facility management preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of chemical safety and equipment controls.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence and enthusiasm when interacting with customers
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
